June favourites

I'm not going to do that annoying blogger/vlogger thing where I talk about how fast the month has gone, is it just me who finds that annoying? Am I just bitter? Unappealing personality traits aside, I have a bunch of beauty favourites to tell you about, and if you watch the video you'll hear about non-beauty favourites too - it's almost like an incentive to go watch my YouTube channel, y'know you might want to watch it.

Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish in 119 Forever Glam | An extremely odd choice for someone who isn't a fan of loud colours in general, like my nails generally don't stray too far from black and red with maybe a glitter top coat around the festive season, but I really love this nail polish. The formula is ahmayzing, it claims to last up to 7 days and that's not a lie. I use two coats of this sans base coat or top coat, and it lasts me 7 days with minor chips - so if you did use a top coat or a base coat, it would probably last even longer. It also dries really quickly and you get a pretty smooth application, I think the formula's probably comparable to Essie, Essie's that tiny bit better, but then Essie is a couple of pounds more expensive. This colour is a bright raspberry sort of pink, which I like because I generally stray far from pink but this isn't a Dolly Parton kinda pink so it's definitely one to try if you want to venture into more bright nail colours.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Natural Beauty | I've actually owned this for a while but honestly I've been worried to use it because, like I said earlier I generally don't do pink in my makeup, but this is a really nice pinky nude sort of colour. It's a balmy consistency and it's sort of a MLBB lipstick deal, it doesn't last more than a few hours so you have to reapply but I've been wearing it nearly everyday this month.

InstaNatural Advanced Repair Scar Gel* | I honestly didn't think I would get any sort of major results from this scar gel when I received it, but it's actually managed to fade the few acne scars I've had on my face for a few years. My skin's pretty good but these few scars have always been there, however within a few days of using this day and night I noticed them fading and they're barely visible now which is almost unbelievable, but it works. It doesn't work on stretch marks though I might add, or at least not to the same effect it does on acne scars.

Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion | I've finally finished my tub of the Righteous Butter from Soap & Glory, it's taken me about a year and a half to finish this! Although. I think I might prefer this moisture lotion which I've finally been able to give a proper go. It smells sort of tropical so it just feels more summery, I also feel like it moisturises me a lot more than the Righteous Butter and I like the pump application, even though I think this might lead to be wasting more money.

Rimmel 25hr Lasting Finish Nude Foundation | The first time I used this was actually in my first GRWM video on my YouTube channel (now unlisted, you can find it if you go all Sherlock though) and I hated it on first impression. To be fair, I was a bit paler because it was winter and I don't think using a brush to apply it was the best idea. However, I've been using this a lot now that my skin's getting a bit more tanned with the summer weather (don't let this delude you into thinking we get good summer weather in London, I just tan very easily) and I've been loving it. I'm still not a massive fan of the pinky undertones but if I blend it with my fingers it really meshes with my skin, and leaves a very nice looking base.

MMFD, OITNB and my holiday to Lytham . . .

I just discovered this YouTuber called itslinamar and I'm a little bit obsessed like I've binge watched most of her videos, she's really funny and I love to support the women of colour of YouTube to try and smash the white supremacy going on on YouTube especially in the beauty guru section . . .

two.
My Mad Fat Diary has come back for its final series and I am loving it, although there's a bit of confusion over what's going on - don't want to give too much away, but what the heck is the deal with Kester?!

three.
I finally got back onto watching Orange is the New Black and I'm really liking it! I watched the first couple of episodes a few months ago but I just left it and never really got back on it, but I decided to give episode 3 again and I am really really enjoying it - I can see what the hype's about now!

four.
I went out shopping with my friends (hauls should already be up, have a click around my blog/YouTube channel) and had a really nice time out, the highlight was probably seeing a Kanye West themed sign outside a coffee shop.. see the picture above!!

five.
I went on holiday to Lytham with 11 other friends and it started with us being sleep deprived, we met up at 4am in the morning carrying a lot of luggage (partially my fault, I couldn't survive 5 days without my laptop)

six.
On the second day of the holiday, we went to Blackpool and the weather was amazing so we just walked around the town for most of the day as well as going to Ripley's Believe It or Not. Well, half of the group dropped off and went back home but a few of us stayed around and went on the pier and generally enjoyed the sea air.

We stayed inside mostly on the Wednesday because the weather was a bit icky and I was feeling a bit anxious anyway so I didn't fancy talking to anyone for the first few hours of the day (I also got no sleep the night before so I was a bit out of it, so much to the point that on that evening I got a bit delusional and attacked a sofa and asked what country we were in)

We ordered Chinese on the Wednesday and got fortune cookies, and mine said 'you are going to have a comfortable old age . .' so any aspirations of living fast, dying young and leaving an average looking corpse may not come true.

nine.
Thursday was a humid, somewhat showery day so we went to the beach for a while but then stayed in and watched American Beauty (one of my favourite ever films), but then the weather was beautiful in the evening so we went out to the beach to watch the sunset and some of us attempted a seance. The candles kept blowing out so we used incense sticks and played a playlist in the background, below is the full playlist but we couldn't access the whole song due to internet issues, but I had a shortened version on my phone. We did a pretty interesting rendition of Beelzeboss which resulted in a man taking a picture of us and a little girl crying . . nice one.



ten.
It was really nice to get back home, I always feel a bit overwhelmed being around a lot of people so it was nice to be able to wake up without socialising, and I definitely felt like everyone was getting a bit irritated with each other by the end so I think it was good the holiday wasn't any longer, but I definitely had a great time - 11/10 would recommend.

Primark and H&M haul

This post could also be called 'the haul that was supposed to be summery but resulted in all black clothes' but it doesn't have the same ring to it. Anyway, I hadn't been shopping in a couple of months so I decided to go out with my friends and pick up a few bits (big beauty haul coming soon), without further ado, let's see how I've been funding the capitalist system.

June wishlist

I'm not sure whether it's just me, but I find when I'm stuck inside revising, online window shopping becomes a hobby I pour way too much time into, and it's for that reason that making this wishlist hasn't been too difficult...

First up is the MUA Prime & Conceal Correcting Cream Solo in Peach. Basically, I've been really wanting to buy a proper corrector for under my eyes (I usually use orange lipstick and it works, but there's something special about using a product for what it's intended for so I'd quite like to buy a proper corrector) and as this one only costs £2.00, I figure you can't go wrong.

I've not done a proper face mask in a long time, we're talking months. I've only done homemade ones and I read a review of the Squeeky Clean Pore Pow Wow Face Mask (it annoys me too that they've spelled Squeaky wrong, but I guess you can't have it all), I've been interested in this brand before because they're sold at the Pound shop so if they're decent then that's great, and after reading the good review I thought I'd give it a go.

A product that has been immensely hyped in the world of blogging/vlogging/general internet merriment is the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush. It's an alleged dupe of the Anastasia Brow wiz, and generally a product I've wanted to try for a while because when I see other people use it in tutorials it looks really quick and easy to use. I usually find pencils a lot quicker to use on my brows, and when I go on holiday with my friends at the end of the month (which I feel I've mentioned countless times in the past month, sorry) I don't want to be spending ages and ages on my makeup because I know they take less time than I do, so time effective products are a must have!!

Blush. A product that I have never really tried, call me a coward but I am terrified of blush. Really scared of going overboard and looking like Tracy Beaker in that episode where she borrows Adele's makeup.. you know what I'm talking about. However, after hearing about the Collection cream blush sticks, I've been thinking this might be a nice easy way to start using blush. Cream products are quite easy to use and can be majorly blended in, so I think the Collection Speedy Blush Stick in Tickled Pink might be a good starter for me, plus it's pretty inexpensive at £2.99.

I've only owned one highlighter and whilst I love it, I feel like the colour isn't the best for my skin tone, which is why I really want to try the MUA Highlighting Powder in Gold. It's a mere £3.00 and probably a much better match for my skin tone, furthermore I've read some really good reviews on it and I think MUA is such a great brand, and probably one that I don't give enough credit on the blog.

Bowling for Soup, Milidaddy, and the last week

one.

I have been listening to Bowling for Soup so much recently, I used to love them when I was younger but I stopped listening to them for some reason - but I'm back and the love is stronger than ever.

In the space of a day, I danced around a tree singing A Theory of Justice with my Philosophy class (at the expense of our dignity in front of the year 7s) and by the end of the day my Psychology teacher thought I had a Daddy kink (seriously, you can't get away with saying things like Milidaddy these days) - also karma did us all good in the sixth form.

three.

My first exam is out of the way and it was a Psychology retake. I actually was only a few marks away from an A in that unit when I did it first time but it's worth 30% of my overall grade so it made more sense to retake that one than my other As unit - think it went better than last year which is good!

four.

We had a fictional character dress up day at sixth form (doing cute end of year things for the whole last week) and me and my friend Isabella who I've mentioned countless times in posts/videos came dressed as Cher and Dionne, I know what you're thinking - As if!! It was pretty darn awesome, although I was scared people were going to mistake me for a slutty school girl the entire day. My friend came as No Face from Spirited Away and scared the hell out of practically everyone she saw - it was brilliant!

five.

We had a cute little indoors picnic with the sixth form, it was really nice to be with all the people there because my sixth form is pretty small and we're all pretty friendly with each other so it was cool to all sit down together and play Chinese whispers and Truth or Dare with them.

six.

On a Thursday I don't have any lessons, just free study periods, and the people I have them with are pretty brilliant so it was kinda emotional knowing it was the last time we were all going to be together - it's been pretty cool having a group of people who are always open to singing High School Musical (we do get some work done, promise)

seven.

I really enjoyed Leaver's assembly (which turned into a bit of a disco afterwards). Our Head of Year made us a cute video which had a bunch of pictures of us from like Year 8 because he's only been with us for a year and he said he wanted to know what we were like when we were younger (bit cringey, but massively funny) and my friend made a really top notch video which had messages from teachers and pictures of us all, my favourite messages from teachers definitely were the ones from my Philosophy teachers (we had two last year so they both did messages) and they spoke about the pranks we pulled on them and how we gave one of them a limited edition Kate Bush vinyl for Christmas (definitely the best present we could've gotten him) which brought back great memories - I reiterate, I'm really going to miss my Philosophy class

After the Leaver's assembly finished, me and my friends took some of the leftover food (it was offered, it's not theft) and came back to my house and watched Notting Hill which was super cute, we were really overwhelmed and exhausted after the last week of school so it was nice to have a bit of chilled hangout sesh.

nine.

I can't even begin to express how much I'm going to miss my Philosophy class. My teacher is the best teacher I've ever had (he recommends the best films and music, and he's spoken to me about Morrissey and/or The Smiths multiple times which is all you really need to do if you want to become my friend) and the actual class is so closely knit (minus one person, but let's not get into that). We've created a Whatsapp group chat to stay in contact, and we've made it abundantly clear that we have to go out for a cheeky Nandos at some point over the Summer. We made our teacher a video to say thank you for the past couple of years, which I could show you but I don't know if you'd understand the private jokes involved - it included us skipping around trees singing to a song from a Philosophy related musical, and a Dalek relaxation tape at the end.. I couldn't even begin to explain. I decided to read through some of the messages in my year book, and I'm not going to show you all of them but my Philosophy teacher's one was so good I have to share it - told you he was awesome.

Now that all the hype of Leavers is over, I'm cracking back onto revision and editing the vlogs of this week in my breaks (also watching TV shows, even though I've now finished Peep show which was amazing might I add)

Summer favourites

Hello there readers! Today I'm going to do a monthly favourites, I haven't done one of these on my youtube channel or this blog but I used to quite like doing them on my old blog and I've collated quite a few items that I am loving, but I feel like firstly I need to majorly apologise for not uploading any blog posts throughout September. You can probably guess, but I've just been back at sixth form and it's my last year so I've had a lot of work to do and it's hard to edit videos and blog posts on top of that but I'm still going to try my best to upload as often as I can.

1. Max Factor Glossfinity in Snow White

I received this nail polish from my Mum who got it as a free gift with purchase, and I love white nail polish. I cannot recommend this nail polish highly enough! It's opaque, super glossy, dries in seconds and is long lasting! It could probably get away with one coat, I am awful with nail polish (brittle nails and poor application) but this really worked for me - go out and buy some!!

2. 'Episodes' the TV show

This show came out a while ago so yes I'm late to watching it however there wasn't a massive hype over it so it's not like I'm late to the bandwagon, right? When this show was originally on, I was interested by the cast (Friends is my livelihood so Matt LeBlanc was enough to get me onto it, I also quite enjoy Black Books  and Friday Night Dinner so Tasmin Greig also drew me in , and I've seen Stephen Mangan on Would I Lie to You? and I've thought he was quite funny). The idea of the show is that these two characters called Sean and Beverly have had this successful TV show in England, so they're asked to bring it over to the USA and it makes fun of the whole idea (come on, besides from The Office what show has successfully been brought over to the USA?) so I quite enjoyed that.

3. My Mad Fat Diary - Rae Earl

Anyone who has followed me on twitter for a long time you may remember my fangirling when series 2 of My Mad Fat Diary was shown, if you don't remember then don't worry I'm not judging you too much. When I found out that it was based on real life diaries that were turned into books, I knew I had to read them, and my good friend Meera lent the first book to me to read and I really liked it (you can read my review here) The characters aren't the same as the TV show exactly because they have nicknames like Haddock and Battered sausage, the characters in the TV show are a combination of characters. I'd definitely give this a read if you love Morrissey and the Smiths because there are references on every page practically.

4. Beauty Formulas mud mask

If you've seen my Collective July Haul, then you will know that I bought this inexpensive mud mask from Savers for a £1. It isn't the most amazing face mask I've ever tried, but it is the most amazing face mask I've ever tried that costs £1 for this much product. I use it twice a week, and my skin always feels so smooth afterwards, it also doesn't irritate my skin which is what I worry about with cheaper products.

5. 'Finding Carter' - the TV show

I'll be honest, I only started watching this show because of Kat Prescott (I'm a massive Skins fan and Emily was one of my favourite characters) but 7 minutes into the first episode and I was hooked. Carter is this girl who was abducted and then she gets reunited with her real family but she wants to be back with who she thought was her Mum, I think it's just a gripping show - once I had started there was no hopes of saving me.

6. DIY Lemon and Sugar Scrub

This is essentially a scrub made with sugar and lemon juice so it's pretty simple, but so effective. I have never had such good exfoliation, plus it tastes really nice (I know you're not meant to eat it but in the rare case than some slips into your mouth whilst exfoliating your face, you can eat it and it will taste good - it reminds me of Pancake Day because I will always take lemon and sugar on my pancakes over syrup)

7. Make-up Revolution Lipstick in Dare (Matte)

I have been waiting forever for Make-up Revolution to hit the shops, I thought they were meant to come into stores back in June or something like that but they never did - until August. I freaked out and now I just want to buy the whole range because it's all such good value for money! This lipstick is matte so it isn't exactly hydrating but it's not completely drying, it's extremely pigmented and fairly long lasting for £1 - I am thoroughly impressed. I'm also quite proud of my self for getting into red lipstick because I've always been a bit scared to wear it out of the house, but all I ever get is compliments on it and I feel this is the perfect shade to wear in the autumn/winter but it can be worn all year round!

8. Make-up Revolution Iconic 2 Palette

As I just said, Make-up Revolution seems to be amazing value for money! Similarly to MUA (their sister brand I believe), they have 3 palettes that are identical to the Naked Palettes by Urban Decay but they are literally 10 times cheaper. I was debating about whether to get the Iconic 2 or Iconic 1 palette but I decided on Iconic 2 (I will eventually get Iconic 1), and I have not looked back - extremely pigmented and long lasting for only £4, and they're all neutral brownish shades with a black/dark grey and a lighter grey shade which means I've been able to get use out of all of them!

9. eBay Makeup Brushes

First things first I'm the realest you can buy similar brushes here (the ones I bought are no longer available.) These brushes are amazing value. I might as well say that I'm not a complete makeup brush nerd, hence why I wanted to buy eBay ones because I didn't want to spend a large amount on expensive brushes if I wasn't going to use them often, but these brushes have become a staple for me. I bought them in the pink colour because I thought they'd be pretty, although they're not the pink that was advertised by the seller I'm not too bothered because I like the colour they are. They are super soft and apply makeup very well - what else could you want from makeup brushes/

10. Nivea Soft Cream

I may as well get this out there, this is quite possibly the nicest cream I have ever used on my skin ever. It is extremely hydrating (you can use it on your body and hands as well as just your face, but I only use it on my face), you get a massive tub (I only paid £1.99 for this massive tub) and you can use it sparingly so it will probably last me a very long time, and it has made my skin feel immensely soft, it also has a nice slightly floral scent which I think is lovely.

Drugstore/high street Beauty haul - Superdrug, Savers and more

Hello there readers, you may be shocked to learn that this month I don't have a Primark haul for you all - very sorry, I did buy one thing there this month which I'll show in this post but I have bought quite a few beauty items from Savers, Superdrug and from my local market that I'll show you. If you look below, you'll also see a video so you can grab a cup of tea and watch that, then look at the blog post or do whatever you want - live life on the edge, carpe diem, #YOLO (that's about as gangster as this post gets, sorry)

1. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £2.99 from Savers

I've heard so many good reviews of this product and I felt I had avoided buying it for long enough, hence I bought it. £2.99 seems such good value for this big a bottle, it claims to give you 200 uses but I'm not sure how much I believe that - maybe I should make a chart of how many uses I actually get out of it?!

2. Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream - £1.99 from Savers

I hadn't really read any reviews on this product until after I bought it, but it was reduced and my friend who I was with at the time highly recommended it. I reckon it's going to be very moisturising as you can use it on your body as well as your face, which should be good for the upcoming winter months as I think my skin can get quite dry even though 

3. MUA Bronzed Perfection - £3.00 from Superdrug

I have been in need of a new bronzer for ages because the bronzer I have been using at the moment isn't even a branded bronzer (yes let me be shunned by the beauty community), I have been using a cheap bronzer that I got in a kit from when I was about 13 and as I use it everyday I figured it was time to buy a branded one even if it's MUA which is on the more inexpensive side. It's quite matte so I think that'll make contouring much better, it's also a massive size which is great value for money!

4. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19 from Superdrug

This is a repeat purchase, I don't think this concealer lives up to the hype it's given in the beauty world, but in that moment I knew I needed a new one and I didn't know another high coverage one to turn to. I got it in the colour warm medium which is a bit light for me but as winter is coming I'm sure it'll be fine as I get paler. It's so hard finding a good concealer when you're mixed race, most companies seem to think dark = dark orange which doesn't counteract my dark circles at all because I'm quite a pale mixed race person so.. it's a struggle to say the least.

5. Rimmel Lasting Finish Nail Polish - £1.00 each from Market

I'd like to firstly say, I'm sorry if you don't have a market near you that sells these nail polishes at such a low price, but I figured you'd still want to see them and you can get these nail polishes anywhere anyway. I got them in the colour Black Cab which is your staple black, and Double Decker Red which is your basic red. I think these are especially good Autumn-Winter colours so I'll be able to use them over the next few months as Summer is fleeting, but I reckon you can pull these off in Summer as well. I don't actually have a black or a red nail polish so when I saw them I knew I needed them, and for £1.00 each I couldn't complain.

What beauty products have you bought recently?

August Wishlist

Hello readers, hope you're having a good summer. I have collated a few items together for a wishlist of things I would like to purchase over the next month or just of things that I like the style of and would like to purchase at some point in the future. 

I've read so many reviews on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and I am pretty certain I've not read a bad one yet, I think this would be a generally wise purchase as you get so much product for the price and it works as a toner and eye make up remover.

I love the Marc Jacobs perfumes (although I've not bought one because they're quite expensive) and I think Daisy Dream has very pretty packaging, and would be a very nice summery scent even though the summer is fleeting and the time to wear these lovely floral fruity scents is running out.

I've never been much of a lipstick person, but recently I have been experimenting with the limited collection I have and I think I do want to venture into more colours, so I would quite like a staple red and I'd like the Kate Moss Rimmel one because I have read quite a lot of good reviews, and it's a drug store lipstick but still gets a lot of rave reviews so I reckon it's worth a go.

I haven't really worn shorts since last year due to a massive loss in confidence and changes in weather, but I want to get back into wearing them because they're so easy to wear with almost anything. I quite like high waisted ones and I have found some on eBay that are 'boyfriend shorts' so they're a bit baggy, I'm not sure whether I can pull them off though!

I literally have no summer shoes so I think this pair of shoes from Topshop (which I think have been sold out now so they're not on the website) would work quite well, I hope I can find some that are similar to these as I think they would work in colder weather too.

I do have a white pleated skirt already, but I really love the American Apparel tennis skirt and if money were no object I would definitely buy it but £46 on a skirt is a bit much for a student so I may buy a dupe from eBay, I think it looks so pretty on and I love monochrome outfits so I think it would suit me.

Collective beauty & fashion haul - Primark, Savers and more

Hello readers, hope you're all well.

Throughout the month of July, I have been shopping a few times and picked up a few bits so I thought I would show you what I got in video form and in blog post form. The link to the video will be down below, and below that will be a break down of everything I got.

1. White dress - £5 from Primark

This dress was a steal at £5, it's super soft cotton like material with a nice crochet-type detail on the torso and I'm sure I'll get plenty of wear out of it in the next month of summer.

2. Friends shirt - £6 from Primark

I do love my graphic tees and friends so this was the perfect combination, it is such a soft material and it has rolled up sleeves because that's what the cool kids are doing these days. I'm probably going to wear this with skater skirts as skater skirts are among one of my favourite things in the world, if I don't wear it outside at least it's a super cosy top to wear indoors.

 3. Stripy black and white tee - £3.50 from Primark

This top is just a staple and I will definitely get wear out of this, I wanted to buy this last month (which I did a haul for and you can read that here) but they didn't have it in Primark when I went so I had to leave it for a while but now I have it and can flaunt my stripes with pride.

4. Nirvana vest top - £8 from Primark

Nirvana are one of my favourite bands and I really like this vest top, I usually feel a bit insecure wearing vest tops because I don't like my flabby arms being on display for the most part but I wore this just yesterday and thought it actually looked quite good and didn't make my arms look worse, if anything it made them look better. Plus the material is super soft. The only thing I worry about (because I buy far too many graphic tees) is that the design will come off, but I've had some of my graphic tees for over 2 years and the design hasn't come off on those so I reckon they'll last.

5. Nail polish twist pot - £1.00 from Primark

I haven't given this a whirl yet so I don't know how good this is at removing your nail polish, but the idea sounds ground-breaking. I first heard of a nail polish twist pot from this video and I was considering making my own but I thought I'd try out this one first seeming as it's only £1.

6. Barry M nail paint in Navy - £1 from market

I wasn't sure whether to mention this as it's not something that will be available to everyone, but where I live there is a market every Thursday which I usually don't go to because of school (despite the fact I have half days on a Thursday) but my Mum wanted to go so we went, and I thought that £1 is such a good price for Barry M. I like the normal Barry M nail paint formula, I've had problems with the gelly one I've tried but that is another post for another time.

7. Barry M lip gloss - £1 from market

Barry M must be quite cheap wholesale at the moment because there was lots of Barry M at the market. I picked up this because I've recently been loving lip glosses and I've used this a few times, and I can confirm that it is not as sticky as most lip glosses and it smells like these French Haribos I receieved in a Cyber Candy Mystery Box (which I did a haul for and you can see that here) so this was a good purchase. It's not too pigmented because it doesn't come out the colour of the gloss in the bottle but most lip glosses don't so that's not an issue.

8. Beauty Formulas rejuvenating glorious mud mask - £1 from Savers

I highly highly recommend this, for a £1 you get a really nice facial. It's not the best face mask in existence, but I would be willing to argue that it's the best face mask, that costs £1, in existence. I use this twice a week and keeps my skin feeling healthy.

Hello there readers, as the end of a 'sunny' June in the UK a new month approaches. To match this 'summery' weather, I have compiled a wishlist of the types of things I'd like to buy over the next month or over the summer. 

The 'summery' UK weather should explain why there are jelly sandals, dresses and skirts but you'll notice they are also wintery colours so I could wear them all year round! You may notice the pastel pink dungarees as well which for some reason haven't gone down into the boxes below with prices, but this is from Primark and I'm unsure as to whether I'll definitely get this. I think it's adorable but I'm still not very confident with my legs although they are improving, plus I think denim ones may be more versatile :)

The tote bag I think is adorable with the moon phases, but essentially all I want is a tote bag that's under a £5 so hopefully I can find one like this! 

You can also see the Tanya Burr lip gloss and the Clarins lip balm crayon which are fairly basic, I really want the Clarins 'my pink' stick that's been on my blogger radar at the moment - I really want to see what my shade is!! I want to try Tanya Burr's lip gloss purely because I've loved her videos for ages and she knows a lot about make up so I'm hoping this good, I've heard very mixed reviews though so who knows? 

Next on the list you can see the Urban Decay dupe by Make up Revolution, I believe it's the Iconic 2 palette because there are very neutral colours so even for someone who doesn't wear much eye shadow I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of this plus it's only £4 in the UK! 

Lastly, you can see cute little fake cactuses from Ikea - I want a cactus so badly!! I think a fake one would be better though so I won't need to take care of it, I think Ikea is one of the best places in the world (sorry to get a bit '500 days of summer on you').

Collective haul - Primark, Superdrug, Boots and more

Hello readers, hope you're all well.

I recently went shopping with my friend Isabella (she has been inactive on blogger for a while but she said she is planning on making a comeback and possible showing what she bought so please do go over and follow her) and picked up a lot of things from Primark, I also went shopping a couple of other times and bought a few bits and bobs so I put it together in a youtube video which you'll find below.

As promised, I have pictures of a couple of the outfits, two of the nail polishes, a sneak peak of what Isabella bought and close ups of some of the other item, also there are some things I've bought since filming the haul so I thought I'd throw those in here too.

These are the nail polishes I bought. From left to right: Seaside, Rose Hip, Pearl 

This picture includes the nail polish Isabella bought as well, it's one of the chameleon nail paints but I'm not sure of the colour

These were both bought by Isabella: an MUA lip liner and a Kate lipstick (both were under £5 I believe)

This is mine, it is the Collection lasting perfection concealer in warm medium

These are mine and Isabella's sunglasses, I bought the pair at the top and she bought the other ones, they were all £2

These were Isabella's: a Watermelon scented candle and a Vanilla one, they both had a strong scent and were under £2

These were Isabella's, they're a collection of gold hoop earrings ranging in size, and this was £1

This was Isabella's, I've used Argan Oil before and it made my hair very soft, I'm not sure whether she's gotten round to using it yet though

This is the Rimmel 25 hour foundation, as you can see it's not very thick and it's not very thin and I think that's good as it's buildable - I got this in the colour True Nude which has pinky undertones but seems to suit my skin tone, and it stays on all day and gives my skin a natural look

This is what the Pearl nail polish looks like on, it's matte but shimmery which is nice - plus it dried so much quicker than the gelly one!

I apologize for the mirror selfie, taking a nice photo on an iPhone is almost impossible without either another person or doing a mirror selfie

They're both from the same seller so the postage was cheaper, they're both of good quality and arrived quickly too!!

This is what the Rose Hip nail polish looked like on, honestly I'm a bit annoyed with it. It stayed tacky for ages because it took so long to try.. although it did come out quite shiny but I didn't keep it on for very long as the tackiness upset me too much

I bought this a while ago at the Who shop in Upton park, it was only a pound and there's a mini museum in the shop too which is a must-see for any whovian (although it took a long time to get there and there's not much else to do in the area unless you go over to the Stratford Westfield, but I still enjoyed it)
